Barge Design Solutions

200 five-by-five wooden tiles, 1 five-by-ten foot piece of galvanized sheet metal, 16 major projects represented, 11 offices, and 1 annual Stockholders meeting with over 200 participants…ultimately creating one humongous collaborative masterpiece. Barge Design Solutions wanted to deliver a WOW factor for this event - mission accomplished! Each painted 5x5 tile with magnets on the back was placed on the metal, like putting together a puzzle, slowly revealing the big picture.

We love our local artists!! Todd Greene created the amazing original 3-D piece of art that incorporated images to symbolize 16 major projects completed by Barge. Marcus Williams, of One Man, One Garage, made these wonderful little wooden people that were glued to the back of each tile. (More on those below.)

Each tile had magnets and a wooden person glued to the back. Before picking up the paint brush, participants reflected on what defines their unique gift to their team, and then wrote that in a few words on the wooden person. If you walk into Barge’s offices today, you could pick up one of the painted tiles, flip it over to see who the artist-employee was and read about their unique gift. The original painting by Todd hangs in the office across from the collaborative mural.
